Hogless Roast catered our wedding on Saturday and we could not recommend them enough. When we got engaged we knew we wanted to plan a vegan wedding but that guests may not be used to eating vegan... Hogless was our first thought as we have eaten it many times at festivals and is always extremely popular and tasty! The burgers were just amazing, the sides were delicious and we even had extra food to take home and enjoy after the wedding, despite everyone being stuffed! We had a fair few vegan skeptical guests and Hogless won them over - many commented that it was one of the best burgers they’d had and maybe they’ll think about converting to veganism!! Our bar staff and photographer also commented that the food was some of the best they’d had at a wedding. The evening food (brisket fries) also went down an absolute storm. Ross, Matt and the team were lovely to deal with throughout the wedding planning and on the day. They were also great with gluten free guests and any allergies, and it’s great that the kitchen is entirely nut free.

the food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. very funky and hip place. you order from your phone and then they bring you the food so its card only. the gluten free burger was really good but kinda oily and the tater tots were amazing! would definitely come back to try their other stuff!!

The Hogless Roast team catered our wedding and did an absolutely fantastic job! The Hogless burger is fantastic, every meat eater we had in attendance couldn't believe it was vegan! Can't recommend the food highly enough, go and there eat there you won't regret it!

Genuinely incredible food. I had the hogless burger and it is hands-down the best vegan or non-vegan burger I’ve ever had. So moist, rich, juicy and delicious. I also had the beef brisket loaded fries and couldn’t believe how meaty the beef was. One of those moments you have to double-check that it really is vegan! But, rest assured - it is. Thanks for a great experience and I can’t wait to visit again!

Hogless Roast catered our wedding and the food was absolutely amazing. All of our guests spoke about how great it was, vegans and non vegans, even incredibly fussy meat eaters. There were no issues, everything was on time, presented well and all the staff were super friendly and chatty. They even catered for soy free and gluten free guests, and had meals for the kids. I wouldn’t change anything about the experience we had with them! Thanks so, so much Matt & co.

I've never left a review for food before but the hogless roast burger is the best burger I've ever had. And I'm not even vegan. Delicious, juicy, full of flavour and both sweet and savoury at the same time. And the chips are deliciously seasoned too. Had the meal for the third time yesterday and was genuinely sad when it was over. Would prefer an indoor venue but the burger itself was absolutely superb.

i'm literally writing this less than 24 hours after my wedding because this team of people were incredible. the hogless burger and pesto mac and cheese were the best things I've eaten, and even the fussier of meat eaters had good things to say. The team were so kind, so helpful with my allergy guests and made the whole food service stress-free. They boxed up the left overs and even stone cold a couple hours later it was still delicious. I already miss the food and debating having another wedding just to hire them again

The Hogless Roast does a number of burgers with sides, including fries, slaw, and mac and cheese. I had the Chorizo Burger, hot sauce, and poutine fries. The burger was delicious with a flavoursome patty and a tasty, generous helping of vegan mayo. The poutine fries were also a great choice, covered in an exceptional gravy. The mozzarella I wasn't too fussed on, but I'm yet to find a vegan cheese I actually like. I would have liked to try the mac & cheese as this also looked nice. We felt satisfied after the meal, the serving size was enough. I normally don't like ordering through a QR code but the process was more straightforward than I've had in the past Would recommend The Hogless Roast as a place to eat in Hackney. It is 100% plant-based and caters to a vegan/plant-based diet.
